Working 1956 Orange Stromberg Carlson 500 Rotary Dial Telephone Desk Set Wired, Tested & Guaranteed to Work and Ring with a volume control wheel This is a nice white Stromberg Carlson model 500 rotary dial telephone set. It has a curly orange receiver cord which is in good condition. The phone is been tested and wired to work. It has an orange line cord with a modular adaptor so all that is necessary is to plug it into your wall jack and you have a working phone. It has an adjustment wheel which will allow you to change the volume of the ringing of the internal brass bells. The shell is marked below the hand grip: STROMBERG-CARLSON MADE IN USA The bottom of the phone is marked C/D 500 6-56 which dates the phone to June 1956. The handset is marked: STROMBERG-CARLSON S-C G3 MADE IN USA The phone finish is bright and looks good on your table. The bottom foot pads are also in great condition. This is a fully functional telephone that has been tested, beautiful and ready to use. There is a volume adjustment wheel in the base that adjusts the ringing volume of the internal brass bells. This phone will work on most standard analog telephone company land lines. With an adaptor this phone will also work on digital cable service and even with a blue-tooth adaptor (Xlink-BT) it will work on cell phone lines when your cell phone is in the same area. Digital cable lines require an inexpensive adaptor like “Dialgizmo”, which can be purchased online. The phone dials out and rings on incoming calls. These phones were the last of the phones made by Stromberg Carlson and you will not find phones made today that have the same quality. This phone will outlast any other new phones.
