Vintage Western Electric Bakelite/Metal No Dial Desk Phone

Vintage Western Electric Bakelite/Metal No Dial Desk Phone.
Circa 1940’s
The handset says Western Electric Company USA F I W
but there isn’t any indication of the maker on the inside of the phone itself. The only markings inside the case is H1 and 7-50-I.
The case is Bakelite and the base is metal.
There are a few paint splatters on the Bakelite but I was afraid I might ruin the finish if I tried to remove them. Also surface scratches. No breaks, cracks or chips on the phone or handset.
The cords are made of cloth which has one frayed area and paint residue that I marked in red. They are both pliable.
I tested it on my land line and the bells ring nicely and the calls can be answered. Of course you cannot make outgoing calls.
All parts are original with no conversion.
