Vintage late 1960's rotary telephone NEW CUSTOM dial card X1: Your Letter & #'s

Description

I will produce-- especially for you-- a unique, single-edition of 1, custom dial card for your vintage rotary phone. Your dial card will be printed to order on medium card stock (to produce the card, I use 70 lb Braille paper and a printed label that makes for a thick dial card).  Faded black and off white sepia tone will be used to give your card an aged appearance using specific fonts that replicate a vintage dial card machine and hand stamped look from the late 1960's---This particular style replicates one from a time when exchanges letters were still common but  area codes were newly introduced.

Under the exchange name system, the first two numbers were represented by the first two letters of a word, followed by the rest of the word in a smaller different font which was not dialed, the third number in the phone number, then a hyphen, and finally the last four numbers (which were hand applied in the field) to make up a unique seven digit phone number following a designated area code.

The diameter of your card will be 1.5 inches with a notch so that your card will fit Western Electric, Northern Electric, ITT and others using plastic finger wheels for type 6-9 dials.  These will fit some Stromberg Carlson and Automatic Electric finger wheels as well. Specifically though, they will not fit European phones, older metal ring finger wheels that are 1.25 inches, or Automatic Electric finger wheels that are 2 inches. The plastic finger wheels and dials pictured are used to show the fit and edges of the card when installed. (Any paper edge marks  will not show.)

I will send a screen shot for proofing before I produce and mail your actual card with free domestic shipping in a regular US mail envelope.
I am also able to print cards that fit 1.25 or 2 inch dials with the same type of design but these would not be cut out.
These sizes will require you to cut them to size out of a
rectangular
background to make sure they fit your dial.
Here are some recommendations for choice of letters and numbers:
1. Your actual seven digit phone number without area code using the exchanges above.
2. A phone number from pop-culture. ie:  Desi and Lucy's (pictured), Butterfield-8, or 867-5309 (jenny's)
3. The card listing the color of your special vintage phone and date of production. ie: Mahogany 3-1955
4. Your street address.
5. Someone's name and birthday.
6. Whatever else you can think of.... but I reserve the right to cancel your order if I do want to produce it (for example hate speech)
