Vintage Ericsson Bakelite desk telephone, C1950's. Classic design. Black color.

Description

Vintage Ericsson desk telephone, C late1950's - 1960's (Please see photos). Classic design, black color, made from bakelite which was a new material innovation at the inception of this phone. The phone module is mounted on an Ericsson metal base.
The Ericsson logo appears on the bottom of the metal base, and shows Ericsson over the letters LM.  The logo dates the phone into the 1950's. Some internal parts are original, some parts and wiring of this phone have been modified to fit a standard phone jack in the US. Modifications do not affect appearance or function. The phone can be plugged into a jack and used. The speaker microphone and ear piece receiver internal parts appear to replacements.
The manufacturer's maker mark, CAT, appears in an indentation below the surface of the handset in raised letters, and on the phone cradle area in a circle with CAT inside the circle in raised letters.  This phone is an Ericsson but may have been manufactured in or for the Communications Authority of Thailand (CAT).  I have no confirmation on this.
No external damage. There is a chip on the inside threaded portion of the mouth piece  where it screws into the phone mouth piece. The chip is not visible.  This phone is in good condition.
