Vintage Duran Duran The Book of Words 1984 Lyrics Beautiful Condition RARE 1980s.
This copy is beautiful! Almost like new condition! Not "mint" because it has a small bit of yellowing (mostly on edges of cover, see pics), and a very small surface "wrinkle" of sorts in the upper lefthand corner of cover...but it is barely anything you can notice. No folds, dog ears, rips, writing, etc... this book has been stored flat in a box in a clean, non-smoking home since I got it in 1984. Binding is very strong, just as if it were new and not almost 40 years old. Just try to find another copy in this shape...I bet you can't :)
Features song lyrics, commentary, and more from the original Fab 5 of this band that was just inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame: Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Andy Taylor and Roger Taylor. This is not a goofy book written for kids...in addition to lyrics and photos, it contains very detailed discussions of the lyrics, music, and band. Lots of photos that are as vibrant and beautiful as the day I got this book! It is paperback, but is well-made...heavy...not flimsy. High quality book published by the Hal Leonard Publishing Corporation with Foreword by Simon Le Bon and edited by De Graff Garrett.
I was a huge Duran Duran fan from the day they arrived on the scene, and have hundreds of memorabilia items, including autographs, books, magazines, tear-sheets from teen and music magazines, buttons/pins, dozens and dozens of full-sized rare posters, records (including picture discs, limited releases, Japanese discs and other rare imports), autographs, buttons, clothing, and more.
