Description

This set will allow you to assemble one of the most popular metal detectors (metal detectors) "Malysh-FM2". The metal detector, in addition to detecting metals, also distinguishes between non-ferrous and ferrous metals. A properly assembled device starts working immediately and does not require configuration. The key to success will be the careful manufacture of the search coil.
The scope of delivery includes a printed circuit board and a set of components, including a "wired" microcontroller. You will have to wind the coil and choose the best speaker from your point of view.
Coil winding
The coil contains 90 turns of wire PEL, PEV or similar, with a diameter of 0.3 mm on a mandrel 130-150 mm. The inductance of the coil is 2290 microhenry. Due to the use of a microcontroller, this value may have a small scatter, the program will automatically adjust to the available coil.
The coil must be shielded to minimize external influences. For this, self-adhesive copper foil can be used. The screen must not be closed in order not to form a short-circuited coil. It is recommended to use Mylar or Polyimide Kapton tape to insulate and fix the coil. Do not use tape or electrical tape for this, as their glue base can destroy the protective varnish over time.
Installation
The lettering on the PCB is designed in such a way that the device can be assembled without even using a circuit. All denominations are signed and will not cause any difficulties even for a beginner. After soldering, the board must be thoroughly washed from the remains of the flux. Covering the board with a protective layer of varnish will improve the "behavior" of the circuit outdoors.
