Beautiful pair of enamelled and glazed ceramic vases with polychrome decoration entirely made by hand, made by the famous Belgian manufacture of Boch Frérès by the famous artist and ceramist Charles Catteau (1880 - 1966). The latter boasts numerous auction results that have reached very high prices, especially for the stoneware vases with a decoration of animals with a dark, green or brown background, but also those similar to ours have a considerable value. Consider that many vases found on ebay are much smaller than ours, 35 cm high and also quite wide, and also they are single vases, while ours are a couple, as originally were all vases of this type made by Catteau, all couples. Then, surely, one of the two vases broke and the orphaned one is put up for sale, but the value thus drops a lot. In our opinion, then, this pair of vases is particularly beautiful, with the rich vases of flowers repeated for each quarter of the vase, separated by those elegant decorations, in shades of blue, which cross the vase lengthwise for its entire height, mouth and background always on blue, and floral decorations in shades of yellow, orange, blue and light blue, beautiful, no doubt about it.
