    Description

    Title
    Namiki Emperor Obano
Fountain Pen by Kyusai Yoshida Circa 1993
Rare - No Longer in Production (NIB)
    Product Description
Offered for sale is a Namiki Obano on Emperor sized fountain pen produced by the Master Maki-e Artist Kyusai Yoshida around 1993.  While this is not a limited edition, Master artist Yoshida’s masterpieces are getting uncommon in the market as he has retired.
Crafted to exacting specifications by master artist Kyusai Yoshida over the course of several months, this pen depicts a Japanese pastoral scene in lacquered urushi decorated in vibrant hiramaki-e. This rare Namiki has significantly increased in value since Mr. Yoshida is no longer making any maki-e pens. This pen employs an eyedropper filling system as in all Emperor sized Namiki fountain pens.
This pen embodied the painstaking craftsmanship and superior artwork.  This pen Includes its traditional wooden box, original packaging, a bottle of ink, and a pipette. Mint condition. This is one Namiki piece that Namiki art lovers would have to add into their collection. A truly collectible piece of art that is difficult to come by.
