The repair is used when the ear is broken or about to break on the 11 inch coil.zip ties included, the stiffener is to help prevent your ears from breaking, but if they do or did, zip tie them together
Original coil bolt will still fit with new stiffener installed, Zip ties are used to hold new stiffener in place if the ears are broken.
This stiffener is 2/3 larger than the original and will also fit if you have the Anderson shaft, others will not.
