Tracedown works slightly different to your usual tracing paper. Instead of placing it on top of whatever it is you want to trace, you place it
underneath
. Here's how it works:
Place the Tracedown sheet on top of your paper. Then position the picture or photograph you want to copy on top of the Tracedown. Use a pencil to draw directly over the image, which will be transferred onto your sheet of paper. There is no wax or grease involved, so there's no risk of skipping when you go to ink or paint in your image. What's more, the initial tracing can be erased without smudging.
