CLASSIC Rotary Dial Wall telephone "Model 554" that L@@KS & FEELS like it came out of the box yesterday. Also included with this phone is a
"RED BACK PLASTIC PLATE" "which you do not see very often"
that mounts on the wall before mounting the phone on the wall. However I do not believe you need or have to mount this
PLASTIC RED PLATE
.  You can mount it or not,  save it for?, do as you please with it?
This phone is working well.  I recently detailed it for the next lucky owner.
The
RED
color is always special on these vintage phones, and it will surely add cheer to your kitchen or any other room. Nothing quite like the rotating sound of a vintage phone in an age when it seems everything around us has gone digital. This telephone is in SUPERB cosmetic condition & FANTASTIC working condition, you won’t find the usual 30+ yr accumulation of grime, paint drippings, or gummy stickers on this one that will pass a military white glove test. Careful detailing and polishing of parts included the body, dial, and the handset was given special attention inside and out, so there will be no qualms about using it.
Phone displays with a beautiful gloss as seen in photos with no grime in the usual hiding places. The rotating dial is in excellent working condition, and I was able to get a dial tone on the old phone line here that dials out great and both parties can be heard clearly.
The adjustable Slide control ringer on the bottom Works
on incoming calls with that distinctive sound from real brass bells inside

Hardwired coiled hand set cord is in undamaged, pliable & in excellent condition.
PLEASE READ BELOW
This is a wall phone that used to be hardwired into the house it was remove from. So there isn't a wall jack connection on the rear panel of the phone. There is now a black line cord wire installed that is hardwired into the phone. This black wire has a normal Modular fitting on the other end so it will plug into a Regular Standard Modular mount wall/floor jack.
From what I understand, modern phone lines (Digital) in some areas might not support all functions of vintage rotary dial phones that do best on TRADITIONAL Old land lines Services.

color, made in USA to last. I have taken many pictures so you may get a good view at this EXTREMELY nice looking & working vintage telephone.
I REALIZE AM ASKING A PREMIUM PRICE FOR THIS TELEPHONE AS THERE ARE MANY PHONES OUT HERE "HOWEVER" THIS ONE LOOKS & FEELS LIKE IT "ALMOST" CAME OUT OF THE BOX YESTERDAY. IT IS SPARKLING CLEAN ALL THE WAY AROUND & IN AMAZING LOOKING CONDITION & IT DOES WORK.
