Duran Duran Nick Rhodes Autograph RARE & REAL Signed Feb 14 1984 PROOF INCLUDED.
Great collectible from the band that has stood the test of time and was just inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!
There are sooo many fake and unverifiable autographs for sale online, but I am providing proof (for those who are very serious about collecting only AUTHENTIC signatures). You can find authenticated D2 autographs in the UK, but it is very rare here in the U.S.! What's more, this is very rare because it isn't new, it is dated to four decades ago, at the height of their fame...back when getting something like this was nearly impossible!
Oh boy do I remember this day! It was February 14, 1984 and Duran Duran played at the Baton Rouge (Louisiana) arena on their huge Seven and the Ragged Tiger tour. Nick Rhodes and Simon Le Bon came out to greet fans while coming from the tour bus, and my friend was able to snag this Nick Rhodes autograph for us. I believe the paper it is signed on is perforated rolling paper, since it was the only type of paper my friend could grab quickly on such short notice from someone in the crowd! This may be the only autograph he ever signed on rolling paper.
This listing is for that autograph, which has been stored flat and protected in a frame in my clean, non-smoking home for almost 40 years. I am not removing it from the frame, you will be sent the frame containing the autograph and a picture of Nick snapped just before he signed it.
To prove the provenance and authenticity of this autograph, I am also including a snapshot taken in those moments of Nick and Simon near the tour bus, and two shots of them with some landmarks surrounding the arena in the background (if you want to, the background and their clothing can probably be double checked against published photos to verify that this was from Feb. 14, 1984).  The back of each photo is stamped with the date the photos were developed.
Please note that you will NOT receive the six snapshots shown in the last photo. I am simply including them for your FYI, for further verification of the autograph's authenticity.
This is the part of the old D2 collection of my childhood that I most prized...but it is time to downsize, so I am letting it go for someone else to enjoy.
I was a huge Duran Duran fan from the day they arrived on the scene, and still have hundreds of memorabilia items, including autographs, books, magazines, calendars, tear-sheets from teen and music magazines, buttons/pins, dozens and dozens of full-sized rare posters, records (including picture discs, limited releases, Japanese discs and other rare imports), clothing, Betamax tapes, and more.
