    his is an "AUTOMATIC
    ELECTRIC" 1940
    model "40" bakelite desk telephone.
    It has been professionally painted ivory.
    You may see a "micro" spot or two  that the
    painter missed....or you may not!
    The brass trim really sets this beauty off!!
    The handset rings, the plungers, the carry
    handle, the fingerwheel and the number card
    holder.
    Then, of course, there is the "New-Old-Stock"
    "EXTENSICORD", the "Automatic Electric"
    Magic Cloth stretching handset cord. ( That's
    a nearly 0 cord on ebay!)
    All of this and it is also a good working phone
    with a fine bell and a line cord with a modular
    plug for easy connecting.
