    Description

Here is a rare candlestick telephone. It is a #10A made by Western Electric in the 1890s. To me these are much harder to find than a #10 Candlestick telephone. The difference in the two are that the #10 has a cast brass base. The 10A has a spun brass base.  This candlestick is in as found condition. Some call these Oilcan telephones because of the shape
The maroon mouthpiece is a quality Western Electric reproduction with the sat in the middle.
New quality Western Electric green cords were added, and new matching green bottom felt. The bottom cover is original with wood over steel .
The transmitter cup is heavily stamped with American Telephone and Telegraph and patent dates from the 1890s. The knurled nut adjustable perch assembly is original and there is a brownish Pony receiver that has no
    damage.
The terminal plate and terminals are missing in the bottom of the phone.  I want you to know
that. I believe it is the same terminal plate as a #15 candlestick telephone.
Sold as a non-working phone.  Highly collectable.
With the terminal plate missing it still could be wired up to work if you wanted to and had the knowledge to do so. It is perfect to display in a collection.
