    Description

Offered here is a wonderful four panel tile framed series which have come from original fireplaces in Holland.
The original owner of these wrote on the back that they came from Holland circa 1600's.
They depict the early Spanish invasion of the area and provinces. They were used as illustrative stories around the fireplaces in certain homes.
On the back of this framed picture done in Pasadena, California it says:
"These tiles came from fireplaces in Holland circa 1600s. Depict early Spanish invasion bought at Jan Van
    Amsterdam 1970 -
They are in very good condition. No chips or cracks. They have not been taken out of the frame since they were professionally framed in the 70's.
Each tile measures 4" by 4".
Overall measures just under 17" by 4 3/4".
A beautiful example of Dutch history which can continue to increase its value.
I have also included a pic of a short history of Holland by JJ McCullough from the Internet.
